Justin Bieber Expands Swag Era with Surprise Live Coachella Album Release

Pop icon, Justin Bieber, continues to astound his fan base by dropping new material. This time is a live Coachella album that adds to his ever growing collection of Swag. His live set was broadcasted in full and given to fans to get a taste of one of his most iconic Coachella performance to date.

The live album mirrors the excitement and vitality of a festival event encapsulated in the concert performance and found here in crowd atmospherics, live vocals and improvised moments that become the best moments of a concert. It is not the intact studio recording but the atmosphere of a concert performance sustained over time.

The inclusion of the Coachella recording also demonstrates that Bieber is still seeking to “offer fans a more complete experience” of his music, treating listeners to both “a fully realized collection of studio singles and a blitz of unrehearsed stage reports”: Festival performances can also be very daunting for artists; singing for thousands of audiences of many different musical styles can be demanding, requiring the singer’s voice to be consistent but also capable of capturing the imagination of a vast outdoor crowd.

Here we see Bieber demonstrate his skill at transforming his songs into a large outdoor performance while ensuring that he remains accessible to his audience.

Besides the live recording itself, many of the songs on the album sound different than on the studio release. Whether it be a long guitar solo, a large chorus where the crowd joins in, or a banter with the audience, the album is alive with the spirit of the performance.

Usually the fans’ favorite additions are the ones that depart the most from the original. And, the release further reinforces Bieber’s Swag era identity, which has included creative experimentation and a focus on artistic integrity. Bieber has, throughout his career, continued to redefine his sounds and experimentation while still appealing to a worldwide audiencesuccessfully crossing over between pop, R& B dance acoustic and contemporary genres.

Live albums are more important than ever thanks to streaming. They are a way for the band to release more music between studio albums and allow fans to hear their band in the live domain Mainly if they didn’t go to the show.

Live recordings can’t be touched for enthusiasm. The Coachella set itself is perhaps the most discussed festival performance within Bieber’s set to date. An energetic set that boasts pristine vocals and engaged crowd, created some iconic moments which fans continue to relive through video and online mixes. This live album now gives a soundboard from those moments.
