Technically summer doesn’t officially start until the solstice on June 21, but that hasn’t stopped celebrities from already kicking off the season with their warm-weather wardrobes and Memorial Day weekend posts. Vanessa Hudgens was among the stars to prematurely usher in the changing seasons this weekend by posting a couple of summer-ready Instagrams. In one, the actress can be seen lounging on a giant gray outdoor sofa next to a pool overlooking Los Angeles, wearing a teal green and blue bra top from Rhode and a matching maxi skirt. She accessorized the bright two-piece with gold hoops and layered necklaces.
The other photo showed her walking from a modern Mexican restaurant called Tocaya Organica in Los Angeles, wearing oversized purple sweats, a hoodie, and sunglasses. The 23-year-old actress kept her hair slicked back in a tight bun. She also had a ring on her pinky finger.
In the caption of the second photo, Hudgens wrote: “Summer days are here. And this one’s going to be good.” She also noted: “Thanks for the love, @tuckercollis, you’re the best!” The actress began dating the athlete in 2020 after splitting with former High School Musical co-star Zac Efron.
Even though she isn’t a big fan of sun-drenched locations, Hudgens still looked summer-ready in her latest outfit. In a May 30 Instagram video, the actor can be seen rocking a colorful Heart of Sun bikini as she heads toward the ocean on a beach. She completes the tropical look with a patterned crossbody bag and pile-em-up wrist candy.
While Hudgens enjoys boho-inspired looks, she can also be found rocking simple block colors and minimalist pieces. For example, on Tuesday, the star was spotted wearing a black minidress and pointy heels while shopping in New York City. The outfit is an excellent example of taking a minimal and classic style to the next level by adding a statement piece. The blonde beauty topped off her look with a brown fedora to add a bit of drama and an oh-so-stylish edge to the casual ensemble.
The Spring Breakers actress is also set to host the 2022 CFDA Fashion Awards alongside Lilly Singh and Ashley Graham on Feb. 10. Hudgens recently stepped out in New York City for SIMPLY NYC x NYLON on Feb. 10, wearing a lingerie-inspired black look that consisted of a lace bra top and a floor-length maxi skirt. She paired the custom look with a sheer white coat and accessorized with jewelry from Bucherer Fine Jewellery, Tourneau, and her engagement ring.
